Undergraduate Advising

Advising Appointments

  • Every semester, all of our majors will receive an invitation for a one-on-one advising appointment with an academic advisor to discuss their overall academic progress and the course selection for the upcoming term.
  • Students with the Economics-Statistics joint major may choose to see an advisor from the Department of Statistics or the Department of Economics.
  • Meeting an advisor is required because otherwise, your advisement hold will not be removed and you will not be able to register for classes.
  • Appointment meeting period
    • Fall: Early October to mid-November
    • Spring: Late February to March
    • Summer: No appointment. We discuss summer courses in spring. Please send an email to one of our advisors if you have any advising questions in the summer.
